Engineer responsible for technical and commercial bids covering Grid Automation’s solutions for France, Benelux & Sub-Saharan Africa markets.
Responsibilities
Provide commercial organizations with technical and commercial proposals for opportunities within their scope.
Analyze a client's technical and commercial specifications, develop a technical solution, calculate the costs of that solution, assess risks, define an offer strategy and a delivery model, and establish a legal framework.
Support the commercial teams during clarification and negotiation phases.
Support the operational teams on bids that have been prepared or transferred.
Ensure compliance with processes defined by Grid Solutions ("Policy 5.0") and Grid Automation ("GE EC GS GA S&T") for opportunities within your scope.
Contribute to the creation and improvement of the Tender/Estimating team’s costing tools.
Keep your technical, commercial and legal knowledge up to date for the preparation of tenders within your scope, in accordance with GE EC GS GA S&T directives.
Provide a complete, factual and concise weekly report to your line management on the progress of your work.
Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Fluency in English and French is required.
Minimum 5 years' experience in protection and control of HV/MV electrical substations.
Strong technical knowledge of the Grid/Substation environment: digital control and protection, supervision (SCADA), asset management and OT cybersecurity.
Good knowledge of cost calculation and project budget estimation.
Rigorous project risk analysis and management.
Good project planning skills.
Ability to set priorities and manage multiple bids in parallel.
