About the role

Responsibilities
- Your focus is on independently managing procurement for designated commodity groups.
- Develop and implement regional procurement strategies in coordination with global partners.
- Responsible for indirect procurement, supplier management and negotiations.
- Manage contract administration, price implementation and escalation issues.
- Ensure procurement KPIs are met.
- Lead procurement teams at the Wurzen and Czech Republic locations.
- Serve as the interface between plant management, procurement and Global Commodity Management.
- Conduct market analyses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or a related field.
- 3–5 years' experience in strategic procurement, ideally within a matrix organization.
- Strong team orientation and leadership experience (managing teams of 5–10 people).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Structured, detail-oriented and results-focused working style.
- High decisiveness and agility in dynamic environments.
- Strong financial mindset and experience with cost and performance targets.
- International experience and intercultural competence.
- Solid market and supplier knowledge at the local level.
- Resilience and the ability to respond quickly in challenging situations.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent spoken and written German and English.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
