About the role
- Finance Associate managing payments and financial transactions for FHI 360’s projects in DRC. Working closely with finance management to ensure compliance with procedures and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute payments to suppliers and partners
- Record all project transactions in the DPA and GFAS accounting software
- Maintain up-to-date filing of the Epic project’s accounting and financial documents at the Lubumbashi office
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations, including the Epic project’s bank reconciliations and petty cash reconciliations
Requirements
- University degree in Accounting, Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in finance and accounting
- Prior experience working on U.S. Government-funded programs is a significant asset
- Strong communication skills and excellent written and spoken English and French; knowledge of local languages (Lingala or Swahili) is a plus
- Proficiency with office software, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
