IT Security Specialist focusing on cyber defense within a family-owned company. Responsibilities include managing firewalls, monitoring threats, and implementing security solutions.
Support and administration of next-generation firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point)
Implementation, operation and continuous improvement of XDR (Extended Detection and Response) and NDR solutions
Support in conducting forensic analyses and handling security incidents
Creation and maintenance of security policies, concepts and documentation
Delivery of training and awareness measures on information security
Collaboration with internal departments as well as external service providers, CERTs and authorities
Monitoring and analysis of security-relevant logs, events and reports
Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, IT Security or a comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in IT security, particularly operating firewalls and endpoint security/XDR systems
Solid knowledge of current cyber threats, security standards and technologies
Ideally certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor
Experience with SIEM and SOC structures is an advantage
Excellent German and good English skills, both written and spoken
Analytical thinking, high commitment and the ability to work independently
