Arranging technical sales activities that target partner enablement and community build
Providing technical expertise and guidance to partners throughout the sales cycle
Conducting demos and delivering compelling presentations to showcase the value of Okta’s solutions
Articulating the Okta value proposition and addressing technical questions or concerns
Playing a crucial role in partner relationship management and sales closure based on technical considerations
Understanding Okta’s technical features, and how they map to business outcomes
Holding the required Okta technical certifications
Providing technical Sales support and guidance across the channel for all Okta products and services
Performing technical presentations for partners, their customers, and at events
Delivering product demonstrations to showcase Okta
Leading Proof of Concepts across the channel, from deployment to completion
Designing identity, cloud, security, and network architectures in collaboration with partners
Participating in sales meetings, trade shows and industry events
Providing post-sales support to partners and their customers, ensuring their satisfaction with Okta
Collaborating with Okta to ensure the successful implementation of solutions
Managing local technical relationships with Okta
Staying updated on industry trends, market dynamics and competitor offerings
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a technical area (Computer Science, Computer Engineering); or equivalent work experience
3-7 years’ experience in a sales engineer role in identity and security
Current certifications with Okta alliance technologies are desirable
Ability to understand complex technical concepts and effectively communicate them to both technical and non-technical audiences in an easy-to-understand format
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and establish strong relationships with partners and internal teams
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Effective technical presentation skills
