About the role
- Purchaser responsible for supply chain strategies in Gaggenau, Germany. Collaborating with suppliers and leading price negotiations to optimize procurement.
Responsibilities
- Derive commodity group strategies based on the company and procurement strategy in the areas of external manufacturing / "extended workbench" and general requirements
- Ensure and optimize the supply chain for the medium and long term, including related contract management and tools such as framework agreements and delivery schedules
- Continuous monitoring of national and international markets
- Source new suppliers, evaluate and develop existing suppliers
- Create transparency and optimize cost structures
- Independently prepare, support and lead price negotiations
- Clarify technical and commercial issues
- Record and maintain master data in IT systems
Requirements
- Degree in Industrial Engineering or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience as a purchaser/buyer in an international environment
- Negotiation skills, assertiveness and a strong cost awareness are required
- Hands-on mentality with a strong solution orientation and intercultural competence for negotiations in an international environment
- Quick comprehension as well as a structured, results-oriented and independent way of working
- Confident user of MS Office and experience with an ERP system
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken
