AI & Software Licensing Associate supporting Edinburgh Innovations in the commercialisation of AI and software technologies. Evaluating and marketing innovations while managing multiple workstreams.
Responsibilities
Support the commercialisation of intellectual property arising from the University of Edinburgh’s research in AI, data science, quantum computing, and digital technologies.
Contribute to the evaluation and commercialisation of digital and AI technologies, including software, data assets, and associated know-how.
Participate in IP disclosure evaluation, due diligence, market analysis, and early marketing of technologies.
Support TTM colleagues in licensing and spinout formation activities.
Requirements
A degree in Computer Science, Physical Sciences, Software Engineering, Data Science, AI, or a closely related discipline.
Knowledge of technology transfer, within university or equivalent experience gained within a commercial or innovation-focused environment, together with an understanding of intellectual property management and commercial due diligence.
Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously, while maintaining a proactive customer focus.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence working with academic researchers and commercial partners.
