• Act as the technical lead, with the Programme Director and their Programme Specialist, to shape and deliver a bold programme of research aimed at demonstrating the transformative potential of AI-enabled formal methods and catalysing a new era of machine-assisted mathematical modelling and verification.
• Review project proposals, grant applications, assess technical milestones, and stay close to the ground on what’s being built and tested by Creator teams.
• Plan, lead, and contribute to technical discussions in project meetings, workshops, and formal reviews, bringing depth, challenge, and direction to every interaction.
• Provide evidence-based technical insight to the Programme Director and the ARIA team to support high-quality decisions and sharpen the programme’s strategic direction.
• Confidently communicate complex scientific ideas surrounding the programme to stakeholders, from government and funders to key players across the ecosystem.
• Identify emerging trends and surface the most promising research, technologies, people, and ideas across the programme and its surrounding opportunity space.
• Co-author white papers, open calls, and technical reviews that articulate the ambition of the programme and set a clear, compelling vision for external communities.
• Work closely with the Programme Specialist and Creator teams to drive project delivery, tracking against ambitious technical milestones, benchmarking progress against the state of the art, and spotting opportunities for research cross-pollination to sustain momentum.
• Be the technical bridge between the PD and functional teams, ensuring execution aligns with the needs of the ecosystem's understanding of the programme.

• Full-Cycle Operational Hiring: Lead end-to-end recruitment for ARIA’s essential operational functions, including Finance, Communications, People, Procurement, Policy, and the Executive Office. You aren't just filling seats - every campaign we run, we do so with intention. We are not just looking for exceptional talent, but for diverse, mission orientated, and values driven people. 
• Candidate Concierge: Act as an ambassador for ARIA. You will manage complex, (at times) multi-time-zone interview loops for our candidates and hiring managers, ensuring every candidate, regardless of the outcome, feels valued, heard, and receives a first-class experience.
• Playbook & Brand Stewardship: Work with the Head of Talent to refine and professionalise our Recruitment Playbook. You’ll ensure our templates, scorecards, and outreach are consistent, high-quality, and resonate with both the entrepreneurial and public sector ecosystems.
• Employer Branding & Outreach: Help tell the ARIA story. You’ll partner with our Comms team to manage our presence on platforms like LinkedIn and Glassdoor, and help at events to build a community around our mission; using your sourcing skills to build proactive pipelines of talent, driving faster time to hire.
• Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the Head of Talent, assisting with high-priority executive searches, helping select new tools that complement our talent tech-stack, and navigating the intersection of startup agility and government transparency.

• Be responsible for the creation and delivery of technical and translational projects across ARIA’s portfolio to enable our programmes and opportunity spaces to have outsized societal impact.
• Work cross-functionally to deliver these initiatives, fostering strong working relationships and norms with ARIA’s internal teams and external partners.
• Coordinate ARIA’s science entrepreneurship initiatives, including the flagship Activation Partners programme, and scale them across our opportunity spaces and the wider UK ecosystem.
• Create ecosystem-wide mechanisms to increase ARIA’s reach such as engaging with deeply technical communities that can be force multipliers for ARIA’s impact.
• Drive a user-first approach to how ARIA works with the teams it funds, experimenting with how we deliver programmes and partnerships to ensure our work enables researchers and engineers to push the frontier, further.
• Build systems and processes to enable a lean, fast moving team to deliver high-quality projects.
• Ensure clear communication across internal and external stakeholders to share the progress of projects including defining and tracking performance metrics and milestones to ensure visibility of learnings and outcomes.
