About the role
- Accountant managing independent bookkeeping and compliance processes for SafeDriver Group GmbH. Involvement in financial analysis, digital projects, and collaboration with different departments in finance.
Responsibilities
- Independent bookkeeping for all entities using DATEV Kanzlei-Rechnungswesen and ensuring appropriate compliance
- Monitor all accounting processes and implement controls when business processes change
- Record and post complex accounting transactions
- Conduct reviews in preparation for the annual financial statements
- Support implementation of complex accounting and balance-sheet topics
- Responsible for consolidated VAT advance returns and ZM (recapitulative statement) reporting
- Preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and support for annual financial statements (HGB)
- Analyze cost and performance structures and identify financial interrelationships
- Process and interface responsibility with adjacent departments (Controlling, Fleet Management, Operations Managers)
- Participate in digitization projects and optimize accounting workflows
Requirements
- Completed vocational training as a tax clerk (Steuerfachangestellte), financial accountant/bookkeeper (Finanzbuchhalter), or a comparable qualification with solid professional experience in accounting
- Excellent knowledge of DATEV (desirable: DATEV Unternehmen online, CANDIS)
- Strong understanding of business and financial relationships; ideally experience in the transportation or logistics industry
- Analytical mindset, strong affinity for numbers, and the ability to understand complex structures
- Independent, structured working style with a willingness to question and further develop processes
- Team player with strong communication skills and a sense of responsibility
