About the role

Responsibilities
- Responsible for accurate recording, coding and posting of supplier invoices, bank statements and customs assessments
- Ensure correct maintenance and reconciliation of bank accounts
- Preparation, review and execution of payment runs
- Perform invoice verification in close coordination with the relevant departments
- Prepare month-end and year-end closing for assigned areas, including all necessary closing tasks
- Assess VAT-related matters precisely and prepare monthly VAT returns and the ZM report (EC Sales List)
- Review and verify travel expense reports
Requirements
- Successfully completed degree in business administration or commercial vocational training
- Ideally additional qualification as a Bilanzbuchhalter (certified balance sheet accountant), Finanzbuchhalter (financial accountant) or Steuerfachangestellte (tax clerk)
- Several years of professional experience in general/financial accounting
- Definition and implementation of new business processes, especially digitization and automation
- Good MS Office / Google Workspace skills
- Confident handling of accounting software, preferably SAP Business One
- Very good German (min. C1) and English skills (min. B2), both written and spoken
