Responsibilities
Operate and further develop the Software Asset Management tool and automate workflows and reports to increase efficiency
Advise internal customers on Software Asset Management and support license inventories and audits
Analyze license usage and identify cost savings and optimization opportunities
Manage the SAP license portfolio, including ensuring proper measurement, assigning licenses, and orchestrating license purchase activities
Advise SAP-using IT areas/products, especially on choosing the right licensing, optimizing license costs and inventory, and defining requirements for new SAP contracts
Support Service Managers in planning, administering, and charging license and maintenance fees
Requirements
Completed 2-year technical college education or at least a 3-year vocational training, plus additional specialized continuing education, or equivalent qualifications acquired by other means
Knowledge of SAM processes, ideally with experience implementing, operating, and enhancing SAM tools
Experience automating workflows and reports, e.g., with Power Automate, scripting, or comparable tools
Ability to analyze license usage and identify savings potential
Ideally experience managing SAP licenses, including license measurement with the License Administration Workbench (LAW) and knowledge of SAP license metrics and contract terms
