About the role
- Internship in R&D at Dräger bringing ideas to real-world applications in web development. Focusing on web applications for fire service management software with opportunities for flexible work.
Responsibilities
- Support in web application development for the ZMS fire service management software
- Create test data for QA and development systems
- Introduce API integration tests for the new REST API
- Evaluate and build prototypes for a BI tool to analyze existing raw data
- Evaluate and create a prototype Excel report based on raw data
Requirements
- Enrolled in Computer Science, Software Development (at least 4th semester) or a comparable degree program
- Ideally first experience in object-oriented programming with Java or Python
- Ideally first experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL)
- Ideally basic knowledge of REST APIs (REST, HTTP protocol, etc.)
- Ideally initial experience as a Data Scientist or a strong interest in becoming one
- Ideally first experience with Excel (preparing raw data for Excel using e.g. C# or similar)
- Good English skills are desirable
- Independent and solution-oriented working style, with commitment to implementing your own ideas
