Pricing Analyst driving cross-functional delivery in motor retail pricing at Direct Line Group. Collaborating across functions to explore pricing approaches and optimize customer centric products.
Responsibilities
Co-ordination of AvE processes and insights between teams
Facilitation of project work that cuts across teams to ensure delivery
Pricing architecture optimisation including MTA pricing and algorithm design
Regular processes to ensure models and data are continually updated ready for retail modelling and optimisation
Discounting algorithm functionality
All the while, ensuring that appropriate governance processes are followed to ensure we have relevant sign-offs and regulatory compliance checks have been completed
Requirements
Strong understanding of the components of a pricing algorithms and application of underwriting rules
Understanding of key legislation and regulation applying to motor insurance
Strong numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for problem solving
Ability to communicate complex information in a simple way
Experience of Multivariate modelling, for example in Emblem
Experience of data manipulation using languages, such as SQL or Python
Strong understanding of statistical and mathematical techniques
