About the role
- Senior Manager, Credit Risk Lead supporting a Tier 1 banking client on wholesale problem loan management. Requires hands-on experience in problem debt management and corporate lending portfolios.
Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert in Wholesale Problem Loan / Problem Debt Management
- Support the review of problem loan monitoring, governance, and controls
- Assess the management of customers in financial distress, including restructuring or resolution strategies
- Perform or support credit file reviews, focusing on quality, completeness, and policy adherence
- Provide insight into wholesale credit risk frameworks, escalation processes, and decision-making
- Engage with senior stakeholders across credit risk, restructuring, and risk functions
- Contribute expert judgement and challenge to findings, conclusions, and recommendations
- Support structured reviews aligned to regulatory and risk management expectations
Requirements
- Extensive experience in Wholesale Credit Risk, Problem Loan Management, or Problem Debt Resolution
- Strong background in corporate lending, restructuring, workout, or recovery
- Experience managing or overseeing customers in financial distress
- Strong understanding of credit risk monitoring, governance, and documentation standards
- Ability to operate at Senior Manager equivalent level
- Financial services / banking experience is essential
