Head of Engineering managing engineering teams at CybelAngel, ensuring delivery and strategic alignment in a cyber threat landscape.
Responsibilities
The Head of Engineering leads CybelAngel's engineering organization (~15–25 engineers, 4–5 teams).
They are responsible for delivery, team development, and cross-team coordination.
They create the organizational conditions for product and technical strategy to be implemented.
They directly manage 4 Engineering Managers and work in tandem with the Staff Engineer (architecture, technical standards) and the CTPO (product and technology vision).
This role is created to enable the organization to scale in a data-centric shift, accelerate prototyping, and reduce enterprise churn.
Establish clear visibility into engineering project progress without imposing a rigid framework.
Define and track relevant engineering metrics (cycle time, deployment frequency, stability, velocity).
Ensure coordination of cross-team projects in partnership with Product Management.
Manage dependencies between squads, anticipate bottlenecks, and unblock conflict or blockage situations.
Lead incident management in collaboration with Engineering Operations / SRE.
Requirements
8+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years managing Engineering Managers (not just ICs)
Proven track record of predictable delivery in a multi-team environment (4+ squads)
Experience structuring or restructuring an engineering organization (30–60+ people)
Experience in a B2B SaaS environment, ideally cybersecurity, data, or cloud
Experience implementing an engineering ladder or dual-track career path
Strong technical culture: able to discuss architectural choices with a Staff Engineer without being the technical decision-maker
Familiarity with data-centric architectures (Bronze/Silver/Gold, dbt, data platform) is a plus
Fluent French, professional English (documentation and tools in English, team predominantly francophone)
Applied AI culture in engineering: you have already integrated AI tools (Claude code, Cursor, agents, LLMs) into your teams' workflows — not as a gimmick, but as a lever for measurable velocity.

Compensation: €90k–€100k per year, depending on experience and demonstrated skills during the recruitment process
