About the role
- Senior Accountant maintaining high standards of accounting accuracy for e-commerce firm in Southeast Asia. Leading financial reporting, tax compliance, and process improvements across multiple entities.
Responsibilities
- Assist the accounting manager in leading the team to maintain high standards of accounting accuracy and tax compliance for our 4 entities in Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore
- Ensure the accuracy of the general ledger and support monthly financial closing
- Prepare income statements and balance sheets
- Analyze and validate aggregated data from company systems
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts
- Reconcile tax accounts
- Prepare tax calculations and submissions
- Conduct inventory reconciliation
- Support annual statutory and tax audits
- Improve accounting processes for various company business activities
- Perform other accounting and finance tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 4-5 years of relevant experience in accounting and tax field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Proactiveness in exploring the functionalities of our ERP system (Odoo)
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Experience in e-commerce and retail is a plus.
