About the role
- Tax Accountant responsible for preparing monthly BAS and income tax returns for BDO Group entities. Focus on compliance and advisory for various tax-related queries.
Responsibilities
- Prepare Monthly and Quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS) for consolidated and non-consolidated entities within the BDO Group
- Complete monthly PAYGI calculations and lodgement for consolidated BDO Group
- Assistance with tax returns for both consolidated and non-consolidated entities (including Trusts) within the BDO Group
- Quarterly Fringe Benefits Tax reviews and preparation of return
- Prepare and lodge Certificate of Tax Residency applications with the ATO
- Assistance with salary packaging (including novated leasing arrangements)
- Advising different business stakeholders on tax related queries
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Tax Accountant
- Bachelor of Business/Accounting (or other relevant tertiary qualifications)
- CA/CPA qualifies (or working towards)
- Experience with Onesource, Workday (beneficial but not essential)
- High level of competency in using Microsoft Office suite and tools (i.e Excel and Power Query)
