About the role
- Assistant Accountant in the RTR team at ITV supporting accurate financial statements and general ledger activities. Engaging in various accounting tasks while collaborating closely with Finance Operations colleagues.
Responsibilities
- Preparing and posting journals with clear supporting documentation in line with RTR policies
- Supporting sub-ledger to general ledger close activities
- Completing recharges, reallocations, IFRS adjustments and revaluation journals
- Supporting fixed asset accounting including additions, depreciation and disposals
- Assisting with lease accounting and other technical accounting areas
- Investigating and resolving data issues within Oracle Fusion, identifying root causes
- Supporting audit activities and maintaining accurate documentation
- Contributing to process improvements, automation and system testing activities
Requirements
- Assistant Accountant (part-qualified or equivalent experience) with experience in a finance function *(Experience of working in RTR department is desirable)*
- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and journal preparation
- Ability to analyse the financial effect of journals and understand impact on P&L and balance sheet
- Experience using accounting systems (Oracle Fusion or similar ERP preferred)
