About the role
- Data Analytics Intern supporting data-driven decision-making at Crash Champions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data and enhance business performance.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and maintaining SQL queries, datasets, and data transformations to support reporting and analytics initiatives
- Support the creation of dashboards and reports (Power BI or similar tools) to communicate insights across the business
- Work with the Data Engineering team to understand and contribute to ETL/data pipeline processes and data integration from multiple sources (APIs, flat files, internal systems)
- Help validate data accuracy, troubleshoot discrepancies, and ensure data quality and consistency
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning) and collaborate across teams
- Assist in documenting data processes, data dictionaries, and workflows
- Analyze datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities to improve business performance
- Translate business questions into data-driven insights with guidance from senior team members
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Economics, or related field
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and data integrity
- Ability to communicate findings clearly (written and verbal)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Exposure to Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools (preferred)
- Familiarity with Excel, Python, or data analysis tools (preferred)
- Basic understanding of data warehousing or ETL concepts (preferred)
- Interest in learning Azure, data pipelines, and enterprise data systems (preferred)
