Responsibilities
Provide oversight and review of electrical design for power, lighting, fire alarm, and control systems.
Mentor and guide junior electrical engineers in design processes, calculations, and code compliance.
Review project design criteria and ensure proposed solutions meet client requirements and industry standards.
Conduct technical reviews of electrical load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop analysis, and equipment selection prepared by team members.
Collaborate with project managers and other disciplines to maintain design quality and project schedules.
Lead technical discussions with clients, contractors, and internal staff to resolve design issues and ensure compliance.
Support construction administration by reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, and providing guidance to field engineers as needed.
Requirements
Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
Minimum 7-10 years of electrical engineering experience, with a track record of leading, mentoring, or supervising other engineers.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems design, codes, and industry standards, with hands-on design experience preferred but not required.
Excellent ability to review and critique designs and provide constructive guidance.
Registration in good standing as a Professional Engineer (PE) or eligibility for licensure.
Proficiency with specialized engineering software, particularly AutoCAD, and related design tools.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Understanding of construction processes and field coordination, with the ability to support field engineers when necessary.
A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
