Business Analyst developing and managing capital expenditure business cases for technology at Coles Group. Engage with senior stakeholders to influence and recommend investments aligned with company strategy.
Responsibilities
Develop robust, end-to-end CapEx business cases for technology infrastructure investments, ensuring financial soundness and alignment to strategic objectives.
Own and maintain the Lifecycle Management (LCM) Roadmap for store technology assets.
Conduct advanced financial modelling—including ROI, NPV, IRR, and payback analysis—to support investment decision‑making.
Assess and articulate commercial trade-offs, risks, and options for technology infrastructure initiatives.
Manage lifecycle planning and product roadmaps for critical store technology assets (hardware, networking, store systems).
Prepare and facilitate submissions through TAC Minor CAC, CAC, and broader governance processes.
Engage, influence, and present business cases to senior stakeholders including Heads of Department, General Managers, and governance forums.
Ensure all documentation and recommendations meet CPDM requirements and standards.
Requirements
Proven experience developing end‑to‑end capital expenditure business cases for retail or technology infrastructure projects.
Strong commercial acumen and the ability to simplify and clearly communicate investment rationale and trade-offs.
Advanced Excel financial modelling skills, including sensitivity and scenario analysis.
Experience managing lifecycle roadmaps and product planning for technology infrastructure assets.
Familiarity with TAC Minor CAC, CAC governance processes, and CPDM.
A strong background in technology infrastructure (hardware, networking, store systems, lifecycle management).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to executive-level stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
