About the role
- Data Governance Supervisor at CMA CGM overseeing data governance practices within the Assets division. Focused on improving data transparency, quality, and flow across departments.
Responsibilities
- Help structure and implement data governance across the Assets division.
- Define and formalize the roles, responsibilities, and data stewardship rules for key data in collaboration with business units.
- Lead the deployment and adoption of the Group data catalog (Arkane) within Assets.
- Contribute to the organization and ongoing maintenance of the Assets Data Marketplace.
- Map and clarify data exchanges between the Assets departments and the Group’s cross-functional teams.
- Identify and track recurring data issues encountered by business teams.
- Ensure that data governance considerations are addressed in transformation projects.
Requirements
- Master’s degree (engineering school, business school, or university).
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in data governance, data management, or data transformation roles.
- Experience working in complex, multi-system environments.
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data ownership concepts.
- Operational proficiency in SQL.
- Experience with data catalog tools (Atlan or similar).
- Solid knowledge of data quality and governance practices.
- Familiarity with data architectures, pipelines, models, and integration logic.
- Knowledge of BI tools (QlikSense, Power BI, etc.) and BI modeling is a plus.
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
