Requirements
Completion of 4 year university degree in an engineering program accredited by the Canadian Engineering Accreditation Board (CEAB)
Completion of a bachelor’s degree from the Professional Engineers Ontario's Recognized Programs List plus the completion of PEO's Technical Exam Program.
Specific and general knowledge in the field of application related to the department Engineering standards for Ontario/Canada and related to the field of expertise
Familiarity of various engineering standards, bylaws and related national and provincial codes, applicable acts, legislations, regulations and guidelines
Current and advanced engineering technologies, processes and design
Project management principles and practices
Analytical techniques
Applied research techniques (pilot plant, bench-scale, etc.): set-up, operation, analysis
Customer service management
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Outlook, etc.)
Field investigation and surveying techniques
Knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation, including the rights and duties of workers
