About the role
- Engineering Intern providing foundational support to Design and CAD Engineering teams. Gaining hands-on exposure to the Audio-Visual integration industry as a temporary Summer Intern.
Responsibilities
- Assist CAD Engineers in modifying or creating basic shop drawings, including floor plans and site elevations.
- Support Design Engineers in organizing Bills of Material (BOM) and updating project Scopes of Work.
- Participate in project handoffs, team meetings, and design reviews to understand the lifecycle integrated technology projects.
- Spend time with senior Design and Project Engineers to understand complex system architecture and client-facing engineering.
- Develop a working knowledge of industry-standard tools (i.e., AutoCAD, Bluebeam) And other responsibilities as required.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program (Engineering, Architecture, Technology, or related field).
- Basic familiarity with modeling software (i.e., AutoCAD, Solidworks, AutoDesk, etc.)
- Ability to clearly explain your problem-solving process and ask clarifying questions.
- A strong desire to take ownership of small tasks and a high "coachability" factor when receiving technical feedback.
