About the role
- Senior Software Engineer developing software for satellite ground systems and cybersecurity applications. Engaging in agile projects and collaborating with technical leads in a hybrid role.
Responsibilities
- Development of software (sub)systems for satellite ground systems, cybersecurity applications, and satellite data processing
- Design of interfaces and software architectures
- Development of unit tests and support for integration and validation tests
- Documentation for all aforementioned tasks
- Participation in agile projects, possibly coordinating development activities with the technical lead
- Support for the Scrum Master and Product Owner
- Contributing to the technical content of proposals
Requirements
- Completed degree or vocational training in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification
- Solid experience in object-oriented software development, preferably in C# & .NET, or Java
- Competence in requirements engineering, software design, object-oriented development, unit testing, software validation, and software configuration management
- Strong advantage: additional experience as a Product Owner, with Docker/Kubernetes, Red Hat/Linux, development in Python/Rust, or RESTful API design
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to work on-site and to travel for business
- Very good written and spoken German is required
