About the role
- Accounting Specialist preparing annual financial statements and assisting with E-balance preparation for C.H.BECK, a leading media group in Germany. Collaborating on various financial assessments and documentation tasks.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of annual financial statements under HGB (German Commercial Code) for partnerships and corporations within the C.H.BECK media group
- Preparation of E-Bilanzen (electronic tax balance sheets)
- Handling balance sheet-related issues
- Drafting work instructions
- Participation in tax audits (Betriebsprüfungen)
- Support with inheritance tax valuations for companies within the C.H.BECK media group
Requirements
- Completed degree in business administration or completed commercial vocational training with further qualification as a certified balance sheet accountant (Geprüfter Bilanzbuchhalter IHK) or tax specialist (Steuerfachwirt)
- Relevant professional experience in an auditing/tax advisory firm or in a company
- Strong balance sheet knowledge and good understanding of corporate taxation
- Independent and structured working style
- Confident user of MS Office; SAP knowledge is an advantage
- Enjoyment of working in a team
