Project Engineer managing structural design and client interactions. Coordinates with teams on project-related tasks, ensuring timelines and budgets are met.
Responsibilities
Serves as project engineer with autonomy for project-related tasks and as a designated client contact.
May have project management responsibilities on multiple projects.
Responsible for successful completion of projects, including schedule, budget, and profitability.
Develops feasible engineering design alternatives to meet project requirements.
Performs structural calculations, modeling, analysis, and design.
Prepares contract documents including technical reports, studies, plans, specifications, construction cost estimates, and permitting for projects.
Maintains project records and performs project administration.
Performs field visits to inspect existing structures and identify necessary repairs.
Participates in and ensures QC/QA procedures are followed.
Collaborates and coordinates with other engineers, designers, and technicians on project activities.
Provides technical support, guidance, and input to design team.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in civil or structural engineering from ABET accredited university; Master’s degree (M.S.) with emphasis in structural engineering is desired.
Three or more years of progressive experience specific to engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) and Structural Engineer (SE) license required.
If not licensed in Oklahoma, Texas, and/or Arkansas, must be able to obtain licenses within six months of start date.
Experience in structural detailing in AutoCAD and MicroStation software preferred.
Experience with structural design software, such as Bentley OpenBridge and MDX preferred.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
English language skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
