About the role
- Cloud Security Engineer responsible for security in cloud infrastructure at a mid-sized banking firm. Collaborating in an agile team to implement security measures and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Build and operate a cloud-based infrastructure on AWS, with a focus on IT security within the team
- Develop and maintain a monitoring system for early detection of security incidents in the cloud (e.g., SIEM, log analysis, incident response)
- Perform vulnerability assessments, security audits, and support penetration tests
- Administer, maintain, analyze, and monitor highly available cloud infrastructures
- Contribute to automating deployments using Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Terraform)
- Ensure implementation of regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Degree or completed vocational training in IT or an equivalent qualification
- Several years of professional experience in cloud security with AWS
- Understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., financial or energy sector)
- Self-motivated, team-oriented, and strong communication skills
- Business-fluent German language skills
