About the role
- Lead Electronic Design Engineer developing safety-critical control units for Urban Air Mobility aircraft platforms. Participate in full product design lifecycle in a hybrid role based in Brno, Czech Republic.
Responsibilities
- Lead Electronic HW team developing control units for Electro-Mechanical Flight Control Actuation Systems (8+ engineers)
- Being an architect of HW box development
- Cooperate closely with the project leadership and all other function groups (System, Mechanical, Software, Test Services, Safety Eng) involved in development and manufacture of controllers
- Participate in creating project estimates
- Through robust planning and execution excellence, ensure on-time delivery on commitments
- Distribute tasks within the team, monitor and report status to the project leadership, stakeholders and customers
- Participating in the creation of HW requirements specification and verification
- Mentor / coach junior designers
Requirements
- Solid engineering background in Electronics, be familiar with whole development lifecycle of the products containing the electronic HW (PBAs) – at least 5 years’ experience
- Experience with leading the electronic HW team
- Ability to make decisions while fully taking responsibility for the associated risks
- Strong organizational skills and analytical ability, self – starter, motivated to take initiative and able to work independently
- Excellent command of English language; Excellent communications skills
