Responsibilities
Provide assistance to Biomedical Engineering Technologists in the performance of their duties.
Expose and familiarize students to medical equipment and the hospital environment.
Responsible for performance assurance of medical equipment and accessories.
Carry out specifically assigned tasks relating to simple equipment repair and incoming inspection.
Requirements
Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
Currently enrolled in a recognized Electronic Technologist program (Biomedical Engineering Diploma Program preferred).
Proficiency in PC use and office productivity software applications such as word processor, spreadsheet and database preferred.
Must have good mechanical aptitude and experience working with simple electronic test and repair equipment (DVM, soldering iron, de-soldering iron and hand tools).
Position requires interpersonal and communication skills, willingness to learn, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, personal organizational skills, and a customer service focus.
