Responsibilities
- We’re gearing up to launch an exciting new project in the coming weeks and are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join the team.
- You must have previous experience working in the public sector with GDS and be willing to attend / run workshops across the UK once or twice a month.
Requirements

- GDS experience
- Experience working with UCD colleagues (User Researchers, UX Designers)
- Strong ownership of user stories, including running 3 Amigos sessions, elaboration and refinement
- Familiar with accessibility requirements
- Willing to attend and run in-person sessions (Birmingham, London, Leeds – approx. monthly)
- Comfortable running Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning)
- Requirements elicitation and analysis across complex environments
- Skilled in writing user stories, acceptance criteria and managing backlogs (Jira, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience mapping processes, identifying gaps and opportunities
- Ability to interpret data, perform impact assessments and support decision-making
- Strong workshop facilitation skills
- Experience producing clear documentation (process flows, user journeys, functional specs)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in ambiguity
- Comfortable working across multiple workstreams simultaneously
