About the role
- Payroll Tax Specialist processing multi-state payroll using ADP for Broadridge's financial technology services. Supporting HR Operations and payroll inquiries in a hybrid role based in Newark, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Process US biweekly payrolls to ensure timely and accurate paychecks using ADP Smart Compliance and ADP Globalview
- Perform accurate calculation for new hires, terminations, LOAs, third party sick pay and salary changes
- Issuance of off cycle manual payments based on payroll procedures and State requirements
- Review of severance agreements and payments according to the terms
- Conduct Peer-review for any transactions issued by Payroll team members
- Follows Corporate SOX internal controls and uses the pre and post audits cycle checklists to maintain compliance
- Research sophisticated and critical issues while meeting Payroll SLA’s
- Assist with Payroll implementation work
Requirements
- At least 5 years payroll processing experience
- Knowledge of ADP payroll processing is vital
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience in handling projects
- Prior payroll implementation experience is a plus
- Requires knowledge of payroll tax regulations to interpret Federal and state laws
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
