About the role
- Manager Group Accounting managing consolidation and reporting processes for a leading B2B specialist in Europe. Collaborating with international teams to enhance reporting quality and digitalization.
Responsibilities
- Consolidation-focused: After a structured onboarding, you will perform the consolidation of actual, forecast and budget figures for our group companies.
- High-standard financial statements: You will contribute to the preparation of the monthly internal group reporting and the annual external consolidated financial statements under HGB (German Commercial Code) — including the consolidated notes and management report.
- Developing standards: You will develop and maintain our accounting and posting policies and provide training on them across the group.
- Ensuring quality: You will advise our subsidiaries on accounting issues and support efforts to ensure reporting quality.
- Managing tools: You will oversee our consolidation and reporting solutions and contribute to their further development.
- Shaping processes: You will actively work on optimizing and digitizing our closing and reporting processes.
- In-depth analysis: You will support analyses and evaluations for management as well as ad-hoc requests in the area of group reporting.
Requirements
- Completed degree in Business Administration with a focus on accounting or finance, or a comparable qualification — alternatively a qualification as a certified balance sheet accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter) (m/f/d).
- Whether you are a recent graduate, at junior level or already experienced in accounting — we want to meet you!
- Very good knowledge of accounting under HGB (German Commercial Code) and a solid understanding of common consolidation methods.
- Confident user of MS Office, especially Excel; experience with SAP FI and consolidation tools is advantageous.
- You work precisely and analytically and enjoy contributing your own ideas for process improvement.
- You enjoy collaborating with colleagues domestically and internationally.
- Very good German and English skills, both written and spoken.
