About the role

Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and maintain local and wide area networks (LAN/WAN)
- Configure and support network switches, routers, and wireless access points
- Perform routine network maintenance, upgrades, and patching
- Troubleshoot network connectivity, performance, and security issues
- Configure, manage, and monitor Fortinet/FortiGate firewalls
- Maintain firewall rules, VPNs, and network segmentation
- Assist with incident response, security alerts, and remediation efforts
- Support basic compliance and security best practices (e.g., access controls, logging)
- Provide Tier 2 network support for internal users and systems
- Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and configurations
Requirements
- US Citizenship & ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance
- 2–5 years of experience in a network administration or IT infrastructure role
- Hands-on experience with Fortinet/FortiGate firewalls
- Working knowledge of: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs
- Managed switches and basic routing
- VPN technologies (site-to-site and remote access)
- Experience troubleshooting network and firewall issues in a production environment
- Comfortable working on-site and supporting physical infrastructure
