Responsibilities
- Strengthening environmental assurance across a global organisation
- Lead environmental assurance assessments, audits, and compliance checks across UK and international sites
- Support and enhance the Group’s approach to environmental protection
- Provide expert environmental management guidance across the organisation
- Develop and deliver initiatives that drive compliance and continuous improvement
- Analyse complex environmental data and prepare insightful reporting for stakeholders
Requirements
- Extensive professional experience in environmental management and environmental legislation
- Knowledge of international regulatory requirements
- Experience developing, maintaining, and auditing ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems
- Leading site and portfolio level environmental compliance reviews
- Managing key environmental controls and procedures (waste management, pollution prevention, spill response, etc.)
- Strong ability to manage, interrogate, and analyse complex data sets
- Excellent communication skills and experience preparing high‑quality written reports
- Degree in Environmental Management or a related discipline
- Membership of ISEP or an equivalent professional body
- Recognised internal auditor qualification
- Advanced Environmental Management certification (e.g., NEBOSH Diploma in Environmental Management)
