About the role

  • Executive Director in Aurecon driving engineering excellence in complex building projects. Leading project delivery and client relationships while fostering team development and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the overall success of all aspects of projects won or allocated
  • This includes contract negotiation, project management, managing timeliness, quality, risk management, project financial performance, communication and scope management of the projects
  • Responsible for the monitoring and sharing of workload and knowledge within the Service Group Unit, for current and future workloads
  • Accountable for effective closeout of projects and debrief on all projects with the client, Client Relationship Executive/Managers and Project Leaders
  • Responsible for providing technical expertise and overseeing all technical aspects of projects
  • Ensure adequate contribution of technical knowledge and project experience to the competencies and services
  • Responsible for the development and maintenance of positive client relationships
  • Responsible for providing input to client proposals and tenders in conjunction with Business Development
  • Responsible for the ongoing marketing and promotion of the Aurecon brand through collaboration with Business Development
  • Responsible for achievement of revenue targets assigned by the Unit Manager
  • Manage project profitability and financial contribution for allocated projects
  • Ensure financial performance of allocated projects in accordance with client proposals, business plans and budgets
  • Responsible for the leadership, management, development and motivation of direct reports
  • Responsible for ensuring ongoing development of careers and competencies, services and technologies within the Service Group
  • Provide input regarding the appointment of professional staff in the Service Group Unit, as requested
  • Responsible for compliance to company policies and procedures, legislative requirements and act as a role model for Aurecon’s values and behaviours.
  • Demonstrate safety leadership in all aspects of Aurecon’s business.
  • Provide input into Unit or office business planning, as requested.

Requirements

  • Recognised Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering qualification (Bachelor/Master Degree)
  • Preferred post graduate qualification in relevant professional field
  • Project Management qualification and solid project management experience
  • Member of a professional institution recognized for corporate membership of the HKIE (Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services Discipline)
  • 20+ years’ relevant post-qualification professional/technical experience and/or specialization
  • At least two local residential development each comprising of minimum two residential blocks over 36 storeys (The development shall be completed within the last 10 years)
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management ability
  • High level engineering consulting and client management skills
  • Experienced in the delivery of major and/or complex design projects to blue chip clients
  • Excellent communicator with well-developed commercial, analytical and technical skills
  • Experienced in delivering innovative and complex high-rise building projects in a fast paced environment
  • Strong client focus and proven track record in business development
  • Ability to manage projects from strategic and detailed planning, concept and detailed design
  • Effective communicator in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
