About the role
- Fire Engineer developing fire engineering solutions for energy, transportation, and residential sectors at AtkinsRéalis. Collaborate with design professionals and manage multiple projects while adhering to fire safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Take responsibility for your own projects while working collaboratively with team members.
- Manage multiple engineering projects from inception through to delivery.
- Support the delivery of project work within time and cost budgets.
- Keep up to date with regulations and legislation.
- Develop fire engineering solutions on projects ensuring fire engineering strategy delivery.
- Assess fire related risks in projects and work collaboratively to mitigate risks.
- Review and comment on the quality of fire safety related installations.
- Prepare reports and liaise with client representatives as required.
Requirements
- Engineering degree, preferably fire engineering or alternatively a post graduate qualification in fire engineering.
- Demonstrate a strong record of successfully delivering fire safety projects.
- Experience working with a range of fire standards including BS9999, NFPA 130, BS9992, EN45545 is beneficial.
- Fire modelling experience will be beneficial.
- Customer focused with good commercial awareness.
- Ability to collate information and have a clear, structured approach to report writing.
- Willingness to travel is a positive advantage.
- Able to work towards Chartered Fire Engineer status.
