Responsibilities
- Collaborates with team members to develop proposals, scopes, and fees
- Serve as Engineer-of-Record on aviation civil design projects
- Prepare, review, and seal engineering calculations, plans, and specifications
- Ensure technical accuracy and code compliance across all phases of civil design
- Apply sound engineering judgment to solve complex site layout, grading, drainage, and utility challenges
- Mentor junior engineers and designers in civil engineering principles and software tools (e.g., Civil 3D)
- Coordinate with permitting agencies and regulatory bodies to ensure environmental and FAA compliance
- Support proposal development and technical content for business development pursuits
- Engage in internal design reviews, peer QA/QC checks, and client technical meetings
- Maintain current knowledge of industry codes, technologies, and aviation design practices
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering
- Professional engineer registration (PE) in OK
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and civil design software
- Strong working knowledge of FAA design standards, stormwater management, and site development
- Demonstrated experience leading the technical design of aviation or transportation infrastructure projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform engineering work independently and ethically, with minimal supervision
- Familiarity with environmental regulations, construction practices, and workplace safety standards
