Responsibilities
- Lead process design, safety assessments, and risk management across complex resources and energy projects.
- Manage and mentor multidisciplinary teams, promoting collaboration, accountability, and knowledge sharing.
- Develop and review key process deliverables including PFDs, P&IDs, calculations, specifications, and process safety documentation.
- Support project delivery from concept selection, feasibility and FEED through detailed design, construction, and commissioning.
- Drive continuous improvement, best-practice engineering standards, and adoption of digital engineering tools.
- Build strong client relationships and provide expert guidance on technical and contractual matters.
Requirements
- 9+ years of process engineering experience across hydrocarbons, power, resources, and green energy projects.
- Strong expertise in process design, process safety, and risk management for major and technically complex projects.
- Proven ability to lead engineering teams and deliver multidisciplinary work across all project phases.
- Strong capability in process modelling (HYSYS, UniSim and Fluid flow)
- Strong experience in equipment sizing, technical problem-solving, and data-driven design decisions.
- Experience with upstream processing facilities and flow assurance and surge analysis is an advantage (AFT, Bently, PipeSim)
- Experience producing and reviewing drawings, schematics, 3D models, and engineering documentation while closing design gaps with stakeholders.
- Experience attending / leading the design workshops such as HAZOP, LOPA, Design reviews.
- Relevant qualifications such as Process or Chemical Engineering and professional memberships (Engineers Australia, iChemE, RPEQ)
