About the role

  • Payroll Coordinator managing payroll operations in the US and Canada for ASSA ABLOY, an industry leader in automated door solutions. Supports payroll reporting and employee inquiries.

Responsibilities

  • Lead processor for one of the Canada payroll/benefits and biweekly/monthly reporting
  • Assist with the US payroll entry, timecard review and reporting
  • Process certified and prevailing wage reports
  • Respond to separation requests, employment and/or benefit verifications, garnishments and other mail
  • Crosstrain within the department to provide backup coverage
  • Provide customer service to employees regarding time and attendance, benefits and payroll questions
  • Other general HR/PR functions as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Human Resources or Business Administration
  • 2–4 years of experience in payroll and benefits management
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to deal with difficult, sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong time management and prioritizing skills
  • Good customer service skills
  • Strong PC knowledge including Excel
  • Working knowledge of ADP and Payworks desired but not required
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and be a team player.
