About the role
- Manager, Pattern Maker at Arc'teryx overseeing pattern team and ensuring product quality and fit. Collaborating closely with design and development teams in a high-performing environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to pattern makers and leads
- Ensure the pattern team interpret design intent, create prototype, sample and graded production patterns
- Manage workload within the pattern making team
- Maintain regular communication with sample line and design team
- Work with design to identify Maker Phase needs
- Establish standard fit by product category/end use and ensure product size/fit consistency
- Establish and maintain computer pattern libraries
- Develop and support pattern makers in building SOP’s
- Partner with Proof of Concept and Commercialization teams
- Collaborate with Designers and Product Developers
- Build business relationships with Designers, Cut and Sew, Product Developers, and Factory partners
- Ensure accurate finished garment measurement specifications are developed and maintained
- Troubleshoot problems and maintain computer software and equipment
- Identify the need and build best practice processes and procedures
- Support Leadership to refine as needed
Requirements
- 10+ years in patternmaking and production, with 3+ years in a leadership capacity
- Ability to work from pattern blocks or from sketches
- Knowledge of garment construction, grading specialty
- Experience using Gerber PDS & Accumark
- Experience leading a team
- Effective verbal and written communications skills
- Good attention to detail
