About the role

  • Cost Engineer managing budget allocations and financial analysis for Oil & Gas projects. Supervising cost centers and collaborating with budget managers in Puteaux.

Responsibilities

  • Allocation of costs to cost centers / charge centers
  • Preparation and revision of budget forecasts in collaboration with budget owners
  • Monitoring of actuals; validation and allocation of internal and external costs; analysis of budget variances
  • Account closing; reporting to budget owners
  • Participate in financial and technical risk reviews and provide recommendations (contingencies, contract clauses, HSE and logistical mitigations)
  • Supervise subcontractors responsible for estimating studies or surveys when required, and validate their deliverables

Requirements

  • Technical higher education (engineering degree, BTS/DUT) with a specialization or experience in estimation/cost engineering
  • Significant experience in estimation/costs in the Oil & Gas or industrial sector (ideally at least 5 years depending on the level of the position)
  • Proficiency with estimating and analysis tools (advanced Excel, MTO, TBE); SAP knowledge highly appreciated
  • Strong analytical skills, rigor in building estimates and attention to detail to identify hidden costs and financial risks
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, good interpersonal skills and ability to negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Professional proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken
