About the role

Responsibilities
- Proactively providing technical leadership as well as being hands-on and willing to get stuck into the team with any tasks, including development, testing, business analysis.
- Increasing the speed and frequency of tackling technical debt, platform health and feature delivery.
- Contributing to solution design and direction setting for the team.
- Working with Product Owners and Business Analysts and translating business requirements into elegant solution design.
- Working with Lead Engineers and other Chief Analyst Programmer in uplifting our overall engineering capabilities in the Microservices area, as well as align with our future architecture direction.
- Continuously simplifying and automating our build, test and deployment practices.
- Creating a learning culture as well as sharing your knowledge with the team.
- Providing guidance to other team members, mentoring and coaching of less experienced team members
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Java development & production support at an enterprise level.
- Strong expertise in Spring Boot, Java 8+, and related frameworks.
- Proven experience in API & microservice design.
- Good understanding of one or more databases: Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, PostgreSQL.
- Experience with one or more message queues and RESTful services.
- Good Knowledge on CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience working with offshore squad cross different time zones.
- You are a great communicator. You are happy to work alongside a team where you talk openly and constructively about technical issues.
