Responsibilities
Lead a team of Product Managers to ensure multi-asset product set remains competitively positioned.
Provide timely insights on portfolio positioning and competitive advantage in support of the sales process.
Work closely with product development to lead large scale projects.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to optimize the product line across multiple channels.
Acting in a player/coach capacity leads a team of Product Managers to act as product owners for assigned product line(s).
Conduct research and analysis to understand the marketplace, competitors, and advisor/client needs.
Set performance expectations for products and assess performance results versus expectations, benchmarks, and peers.
Provide effective leadership incorporating performance management practices through individual performance plans, periodic reviews and feedback sessions, coaching and development.
Requirements
Financial services experience, preferably in product development and/or management for assigned product line.
People leadership experience.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (4-years) in Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent.
Demonstrated success in influencing senior leaders across a complex matrix internal environment as well as with third parties.
Strategic and analytical skills; ability to solve complex problems and identify new product solutions.
Experience with various products; understanding of compliance rules and regulations for products and industry.
Proven track record of successfully leading large and complex projects, including planning, status and issue management.
Excellent communication skills including proposal/presentation development and delivery, and meeting facilitation.
Series 7 (or SIE and Series 7 top off exam) and 66 (or 63 & 65 combined) or the ability to obtain within a defined period of time.
