Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the accounting department
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and producing financial reports or statements
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department while providing leadership and guidance to the team
- Manage the monthly financial close process
- Interact with budget owners or other stakeholders to produce timely, efficient and accurate month-end close
- Contributing to and defining consolidation, as well as financial control processes and procedures
- Prepare consolidated general ledger accounts in ERP, Oracle, in accordance with IFRS and Mexican Fintech Law
- Coordinate the accounting and month end closing process
- Responsible for the prompt presentation of taxes to the local authorities (SAT)
- Ensure accurate and timely closing of the books for monthly and annual reporting
- Prepare analysis on movements in key general ledger accounts
- Deliver process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of the reporting process
- Participate with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
- Advise on accounting and reporting issues
