About the role
- Data Developer internship at AIMCo, building data products and analytics. Collaborate on data engineering and visualization projects while contributing to impactful financial outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop data pipelines to extract, load, and transform data from various sources into cloud-based data warehouses and data lakes.
- Design and implement data processing workflows that are highly optimized for their cloud-native environment.
- Collaborate with senior developers and data architects to design and implement scalable and reliable data architectures on cloud platforms.
- Assist with monitoring and maintaining the performance of cloud-based data warehouses and data pipelines, troubleshoot issues, and optimize query performance.
- Work with data analysts to understand data requirements and design data models that enable effective reporting and analysis.
Requirements
- Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis
- Experience with Power BI for data visualization and reporting
- Familiarity with Spark and ETL processes for data integration
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles
- Knowledge of version control systems such as Git
- Strong ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changing project requirements
