Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and engage the tax team, fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment and continuous learning.
  • Supervise the planning and execution of tax projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines, quality standards and budgets.
  • Monitor delivery indicators, identifying risks, deviations and opportunities for improvement.
  • Prioritize requests and organize the area’s backlog.
  • Ensure alignment among the team, stakeholders and other involved departments.
  • Define clear goals, track deliveries, conduct structured feedback and periodic evaluations.
  • Support the team’s technical and behavioral development by identifying gaps and proposing individual development plans (IDPs).
  • Ensure appropriate resource allocation, balancing team capacity with area demands.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, ownership and results focus.
  • Remove impediments and support the team in executing critical activities.
  • Define and monitor area KPIs (productivity, SLA, profitability, margin, operational efficiency, among others).
  • Monitor results and propose action plans for continuous improvement of the team’s performance.
  • Track financial indicators of projects (budget, costs, forecast and margin).
  • Consolidate and present results to leadership and the board.
  • Map, review and optimize tax processes, ensuring standardization and efficiency.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and use of technology (RPA, BI, tax tools).
  • Implement management, governance and control best practices in the area.
  • Drive the evolution of the operating model and the team’s scaling.
  • Act as a partner to leadership, contributing to the definition of priorities and the area’s strategic direction.
  • Support feasibility analysis for new tax projects and initiatives.
  • Contribute insights to improve results and the area’s positioning within the business.

Requirements

  • Degree in Law, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Previous experience managing large teams.
  • Solid experience in taxation (direct and/or indirect taxes).
  • Experience in project management and handling multiple concurrent demands.
  • Strong analytical skills and results orientation.
  • Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Conflict management skills.
  • Experience with performance indicators and financial management of projects.
