About the role
- Tester responsible for designing, documenting, and executing test cases for manual and API testing while collaborating with developers. Leading testing efforts and guiding junior testers in a hybrid office environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, document, and execute test cases for manual and API testing.
- Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
- Identify, record, and track bugs using bug tracking tools.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and provide detailed reports.
- Perform regression testing and validate fixes to ensure no new issues are introduced.
- Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Lead testing efforts on multiple projects and guide junior testers.
- Participate in requirement review meetings and provide input on testability and acceptance criteria.
- Continuously improve testing processes and practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in manual testing, with at least 2 years of experience in API testing.
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and life cycles.
- Proficiency in API testing tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI, or similar).
- Familiarity with automation testing tools is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
- Detail-oriented with a passion for quality and user experience.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with performance testing and security testing.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with SQL and database concepts.
