About the role
- Service Director leading offshore service operations for Vestas, overseeing activities and team management in Hamburg. Focus on delivering high-quality services and developing staff in an international environment.
Responsibilities
- Based in Hamburg and will report directly to the Vice President for Service Operations
- Overseeing the delivery of all activities under the Service Contracts
- Leading and developing the team and ensuring the effective overall management of the business
- Leading the Service Managers across the wind farms
- Creating a work environment where everyone is 'safe and well'
- Advancing development goals, particularly attracting, retaining, and developing the right staff
- Developing partnerships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ensuring health, safety, and environmental policies are implemented, maintained, and updated
- Delivering a high-quality customer experience and promoting a cohesive strategy
- Creating high-quality delivery through mid‑ and long‑term strategies
- Making investment proposals to improve the Service Offshore Organization
- Staying informed about developments in the wind and sustainable energy market
Requirements
- Relevant Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent qualifications gained through experience in relevant business areas
- Solid experience in a similar role within an international service organization in the wind or offshore industry
- Demonstrated experience with leadership and people management
- Good business skills combined with a customer‑focused, solution‑oriented, and continuous‑improvement mindset
- Financial insight and experience with full P&L responsibility, including a sound understanding of key financial figures and KPIs
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written; German is a plus.
