About the role
- Technical Writer responsible for transforming product documentation and collaborating with product teams at ADEO. Ensuring clarity and engagement in communication for lighting products.
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Development Leader
- Working closely with the Lead Product Manager, the Design Engineer and the Product Communications Specialist
- Responsible for converting technical documentation into a structured, clear, precise and relevant language for our customers on Lighting products
- Develop customer-facing instructional content (product communication) to be published in the lighting range manuals
- Describe the product’s constituent elements: pictograms, illustrations, diagrams, captions, operating principles, usage recommendations; creation and editing of photos and videos
- Make this customer education available on the company’s social networks
- Apply the manuals’ graphic style guides across your product family
- Involve craftspeople and subject-matter experts in drafting assembly, usage and repair scenarios
- Engage customers in evaluating the manual communication
- Manage the manuals’ schedule (retro-planning) and ensure online publication
- Turn the manual into a bond of trust between the customer and the brands to guarantee customer satisfaction
- As a true project coordinator, provide technical support in drafting specifications
Requirements
- Degree in a technical field with training in graphic design
- Significant experience in technical writing and manual illustration in an international environment
- Fluency in English and French, and strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and video editing are required
- Creative and curious, with excellent writing and synthesis skills
- Autonomous with strong organizational, listening and communication skills
